Alison Vigileos

Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and HCPC registered.

I am an Independent Educational Psychologist, CBT Therapist and Sandplay Therapist working in Worcestershire and Gloucestershire.

I am a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (registered with the HCPC), an Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with the BABCP (Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies) an EMDR Practitioner, trained to Level 4 (a member of the EMDR Association UK and Ireland) and a Registered Sandplay Therapist with the AST (Association of Sandplay Therapists). I am currently training to become a Sandplay Therapy Consultant (AST).

I hold a Degree in Psychology, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (teaching) and a Masters in Educational Psychology. In addition to this I have a Diploma in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders and a Certificate in Psychotherapy and Mindfulness. I have completed numerous trainings in CBT and other therapeutic approaches, such as EMDR. I am also trained in the delivery of Teaching Recovery Techniques to children impacted by war.

I have worked for many years as a Local Authority Educational Psychologist and Therapist, prior to this I worked as a Teacher and Advisory Teacher for emotional and behavioural difficulties. I now work independently in a range of school settings in addition to my private practice in Stroud, working with a range of ages (adults, young people and children).

I continue to maintain regular clinical supervision.

I hold an enhanced DBS disclosure certificate and comprehensive public liability insurance. 

A mandala has been described as a psychological expression of the  Self.
